Ramen

Believe me, any ramen in Japan is better than those you get in Singapore.

This bowl of ramen cost less than S$10 but it was really tasty. The eatery said they take 3 days to prepare the soup base.

It's really cheap and good

Okonomiyaki

Everytime we come to Osaka to visit Yoshi and Rika, we would come to eat Okonomiyaki, at this same restaurant near their place.

Somehow this time round, I didn't find the taste as exciting as the previous times. Nevertheless, it was still Oishi!

Dumpling Festival

It's dumpling festival and so we brought dumpling to share with Yoshi and Rika in Japan. It was fortunate that the dumplings survived the journey being kept in the luggage for about 8 hours.

Bags in book

I received this nice bags craft book from Derrick who bought it from Taiwan. There are some interesting ideas and the bags are quite Zakka.

I also love the layout of the books and the photography is indeed quite artistic too.

Rice pot

I learnt something today.

I always thought that you need a rice cooker to cook rice. Today, the canteen Aunty taught me that we could use any pot to steam rice.

So tonight, I steamed my own rice and had it with unagi, given by one of my colleagues.

Life is so interesting, I'm learning new things everyday.

Fabrics Shopping

I'm so excited.

Bought 11 pieces of fabics today.

I'm excited as I could see the possibilities of bags and pouches I could make out of all these materials.

Dumpling coin purse

Learnt how to make a dumpling shaped coin purse. It's actually slightly big for a coin purse. I think more suitable to put little knit Knacks like ear phones, watch, lipsticks, car key etc.

My Creations

These are some of my bowls from my ceramics throwing class.

Flower Dome - Tulips

Took some photos of the flowers when I was at the Gardens by the Bay, Flower Dome which had a Tulips exhibition.
I'm still using my Panasonic GF1.
It has served me well and always with me when I travel. Love its light weight and its compact size.

Penang kway teow soup

Derrick cooked Penang Kway Teow Soup yesterday and it was really tasty and delicious. It easily beat those hawkers who are selling Kway Teow Soup.

It took him a whole day to cook the dish. He also invited Gean, Adeline and Siew Boon over to feast together.

I'm really impressed with the dish.

Yummy!
