Self Portrait - water colour

I went on YouTube to view how to paint portrait using water colour.

This is my first attempt on my self portrait with water colour.

Looking forward to tomorrow's water colour lesson with local artist Tong Chin Sye.

Self portrait

This is a self portrait using soft pastel.

It is my second time using this medium to make art and it's more or less a trial.

Looking at specks of colours and capturing these colours. This is not a realistic drawing study but training the eyes to be more sensitive to colours.

Resin paper weight

I made 3 resin paper weights using some of my drawings using permenant marker ( Zebra 0.5) on water-colour paper.

It was just a trial as I wasn't sure whether the ink would run in the resin.

Fortunately, it didn't and I was kind of happy with the end product.

This is a copy from a book on learning how to paint with water colour.

I love this medium, though I have yet to master this medium. I'll continue to practice painting with water colour.

My friend's rendition of Da Vinci's angel.

Really like her work.

Copy sketch

Spent 3 hours this morning copying one of Da Vinci's painting.

Kind of disappointed with the end product as it did not quite resemble the original.

Charcoal

Tried charcoal drawing this afternoon and realized that it is really not easy.

The difficulty for me with charcoal is getting the right tones and shades.

Definitely have to spend more time practising with the black gold.

Work

Hmm...
Feeling very sian @ work.
I quitted my last job because I had the same feeling too.
Just feel that I am no longer passionate about my job anymore.

Could I rekindle my passion back?
That will probably make me feel more motivated to come to work.
Or is it an issue of age?

Perhaps I feel that a lot of things I am doing now are just administrative,
and don't see much value in what I am doing.

Sigh!!!
